Broadbeach South
A bit Broadbeach South
A night of drinking and a fag for breakfast leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth
Now an empty pouch, to symbolise a compromised young mind that’s full of doubt
But you’re going, you’re going down
To the pits that you dug yourself and the exit can’t be found
The lights burn out on another day
You’re there alone, nobody’s home
To scare your thoughts away
(x2)
Gorilla party clown
The lighting cracks like leather with one roar and paints the town
And in a thought you drown
A mammoth stellar tea cup party where the guests spin round and round
Now you’re falling, falling to the ground
You try to scream but pillow-face can’t make for much’a sound
The lights burn out on another day
You’re there alone, nobody’s home
To scare your thoughts away
(x2)
If I could I’d find a way
To make you see in every way that your staying in means nothing but you’re gonna waste your life away
So
It’s the fate you can’t escape
It’s the game you always play
I’m the one you run to when it don’t always go your way
So what else more can I say
You’re gonna do you anyway
All a laugh until your past breaks through the dam and drowns your day
The lights burn out on another day
You’re there alone, nobody’s home
To scare your thoughts away
(x2)
Now you’re falling
(x8)
