Catchpole is steadfastly committed to high levels of corporate social responsibility.
Providing legal support services has a significant environmental impact when one considers the greenhouse gases that are emitted from our agents’ vehicles, the volume of paper and other stationary used and the energy consumed running an office.
The Environment
To nullify the impact that we have on the planet, Catchpole’s internal governance requires that:
- all paper based stationary is 100% carbon neutral and recycled;
- all essential services utilise the highest levels of renewable resources;
- the total greenhouse gas emissions from our vehicles are calculated at the end of each quarter. We then purchase seedlings for planting through the Tree Project to fully offset our greenhouse gas emissions plus a further 10%. If we emit 10tonnes of CO2 we plant enough trees to offset 11 tonnes of CO2.
Community Engagement
In conjunction with our environmental policies we also set a high standard for community engagement.
We believe that everyone should have access to justice. In fact, we believe so strongly in this that a total of 5% of Catchpole’s yearly revenue is donated to local community groups who provide legal services to those who are unable to afford or access legal advice or representation.
